My name is Charlie MacCready.  I guess I'm a normal kid.  I mean, I like the normal kid stuff; you know, comic books, movies, baseball.  It's just that I've never  had any, been to any or played before.  My life so far has been nothing but unanswered questions and mysteries.

I don't remember my parents.  I was only two when they left me at my grandparents' home promising to return for me.  But they never did, at least not yet.  But they will.  They promised.  Grandma says so, too, and I know she would never lie to me.  So, my parents will come for me...someday.

For years it was just my grandparents and me.  We were happy.  But then Grandpa died.  My mom's brother, my Uncle Chester, told Grandma that my parents were dead and that she shouldn't take care of me anymore.  He had me sent away to St. Micheal's Abbey and Home for Boys.  I don't like him.

St. Micheal's is a monastery.  The monks there run a home for delinquent boys and orphans as well as a seminary school.  It's full of mysteries, too.   So, come exploring with me and see if we can't figure some out.
